Hilary Benn, Labour MP and Chair of the Brexit Select Committee, has been on a recent site tour of our offices in Leeds, his local constituency, to gain a deeper understanding of some of the latest artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities and the value they can provide for the UK economy.

With the value of AI highlighted in the House of Lords AI in the UK: ready, willing and able? report earlier in the year and Brexit drawing ever closer, the tour provided an important opportunity to explore the types of innovative solution which will help drive UK productivity moving forward.

The showcase put the spotlight on our AI analytics and automation tools, which help organisations collect, process and draw actionable insights from customer interaction data ranging from meeting recordings to written correspondence.

Originally developed for the finance sector with the goal of improving performance, culture and regulatory compliance in the wake of the financial crisis, the platform has proved highly effective in other environments including government departments, where it has dramatically reduced the time required to complete case work from weeks to hours.

Speaking after his visit Mr. Benn said “It was really interesting to hear about the way Recordsure is using innovative AI to help businesses in the public and private sectors”.

Joanne Smith, Recordsure Founder and CEO responded “we have always really valued our location in Leeds: it is a focal point for digital activity, which twinned with local financial services has led to a thriving FinTech community. It’s brilliant that Hilary Benn is so engaged with this and eager to keep his finger on the pulse as new technologies emerge.”
